Using a Multidisciplinary approach, combining and re-purposing materials and techniques to create new aesthetic forms and interventions. Della’s practice explores concepts relating to the human impact on environments.
Major projects grow organically, the context and concept dictating the final outcome, from site specific sculptural installations, to community workshops and books. Sometimes ephemeral or transitory in nature and located outside the conventional art space, their appearance and disappearance intended not only to provoke a response but also engage a wider audience.
Between major projects, Della’s studio practice in drawing, painting, printmaking and collage abstracts from nature, layering both meaning and materials.
