Della’s practice explores concepts relating to the human impact on environments.
Using a Multidisciplinary approach, combining and re-purposing materials and techniques to create new aesthetic forms and interventions.
The context and concept of major projects grows organically, dictating the final outcome, including sculptural installation, community workshops and books. These works have also responded to a particular space or location, sometimes ephemeral or transitory in nature and located outside the conventional art space, their appearance and disappearance intended not only to provoke a response but also engage a wider audience.

Born in the Manawatu, Aotearoa New Zealand. Della lived and worked in Britain for nearly thirty years before spending some time back in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand. Returning to the UK in 2025, Exhibiting regularly since 1994, currently living and working in Hereford.
