Referencing ‘The great wave’ an iconic image by Japanese artist, Hokusai from the 1800’s, this tsunami of plastic bottle tops cascades from a single point across the path of visitors, halting them in their tracks. Painted on plastic milk bottle tops, these miniature dystopian landscapes are devoid of birds and animals, my response to the ‘State of nature’ report on the destruction of habitat.
